I don't know Kerry, but why is this always happening to Keith?Huh?
Because he is always posting on this board asking about Keith instead of working on a decent morning show... Grin

OK...So TS pays thousands to "out of town clowns" to figure out what to do 3 years ago, TS does the change. Now they get a "town clown" to tell them to go back to "The Way They Were" (will they play that?). I guess if you have the $$ to throw away it dosen't matter. I think I'll become a consultant and approach them in 3 years to change back to the Q. Yes, Time Shamrock is credible...like their newspapers....OOPS! Who put the "con" in consultant?

Consultants serve two purposes at a family-owned business:

They advise owner/management on how best to maximize earnings because simply having the keys to the place doesn't mean you have to have a clue about what to do with the place.

And after six or eight books when the advice fails to produce results (results meaning spending no money on talent or promotions with the expectation of making countless millions), they are someone to blame and fire who is not the owner/management/family member.

K-rock/NYC, WYSP/Philly, CBS-FM/NYC, now Cool (errrr, Oldies) 92/100. That now seems to be the trend in radio these days, the "whoops, we f***ed up, now we're back" approach. Seems to be working in most cases. People will realise the 60s and 70s music is back and will return. Remember, the Oldies crowd is now, well, older, and they have developed "brand loyalty". This is a way to play on that. People now tune in for the music, not the whole presentation (boss jocks, sing-a-long jingles, etc). They will hear their favorite music on 92.1/100.1/100.5 (?) and will resume listening like they never left, or the return of an old friend who apologizes for going away with little to no notice.

Sorry to disappoint you---I'm not Keith.
I met him in the 90's when we were both working for Susquehanna, and we both worked up on the 5th floor together during the Z-Rock days.
A nice guy.  We had a lot of fun.

Hits Of The 80's, 90's, & Now can now be heard on 88.1 FM.... within 7 inches of D-Stroyer's car.

For the time that I've been listening, they've ID'd as "80's On 8", "90's On 9", "20 On 20", "Mix 22", "Flight 26", "The Hitlist", and "Lucy".  The DJ that's hitting the buttons is putting together a pretty damn good mix.  (I hear he used to work in radio around here.)

So, the next time you find yourself rear-ending, side-swiping, or broadsiding a green Grand Am, be sure to punch up 88.1 FM and tell us what you think ...And, tell a friend!

:-)

I am not one to be critical of something new, but I give Cool 92/100 a year, maybe a year and a 1/2 before the next format flip. It might be only a matter of time before .5 and the 1.0 ratings give TS the itch to change things up again.

I wish TS would just sell off 92/100  (or at least 1 of the 2 signals), and move on.

It's interesting to look at the listener comments on the Cool website.  It's a mix between OK good, Why did you kill the Q?, and scarily enough... Why did you tease us by all-Beatles?  I loved it, and everyone I talked to loved it too...but you screwed up.
