mp3 audio on processing for wav? LeBron isn't stupid, but when you transfer files outside of hard drive to hard drive, most of the time the files end up mp3 by default. Could be just a simple oversight that will cost them time and money. New York will LOVE that!!

Just let it be known on here.  Surely someone will read it and make some changes.

“We are thrilled to welcome Non Stop Hip-Hop to the New Orleans area”, said Mayor C. Ray Nagin.

Cmon, did Nagin really have that in the press release? Is that a joke or something?

A harmless quote in a harmless press release.  What's he supposed to say, "Forget 102.9, I'm still listening to Q?"

I'm sure New Orleanians have more important complaints of Mayor Nagin.

Man What Are You Talking About Power 102.9 Is Kicking Q 93 Tail Left And Right They Play Old School Hip Hop Like Ice Cube - Today Is A Good Day And Plus Even More They Mix Show The Hot Spot Were Off The Hook Saturday For The By U Classic. I Yall Folks Don't Know What Yall talking About On This Message Board I Know Q 93 Have The DJ's  Like DJ Ro, DJ Rob Fresh And More But Clear Channel Broadcasting Is Not Letting None Of They DJ's Cut Lose Like Any Orther Broadcasting Corporation. See All Clear Channel  Radio Hip Hop  stations Sound The Same None Of They DJ's Not Allow To Cut Lose On The Ones And Two's Play They Play List Are All The Same Speaking Of Play Lists Q 93 Don't Even Play Bounce Music Like They Use Too And Yall Talking Bad About Power 102.9 yall Need To Stop The Madness (lol) Yall Folks need To Listen A Lil Harder Than Yall Did Before Because This Station Is Keeping It 100 % Real Q 93 Is Sad  When They Frist Came On The Air Waves Back In The Early 80's And They Still Sad Now That Why They Brought Out They Competition Wyld Fm 98.5 Because Q Couldn't Handle Those Boy's And They Couldn't Handle Knou Hot 104.5 And They can't handle These Boy's Here. My guess is that it's going to be a pretty good competition to Q-93!

You Damn Right It's Gonna Be A Pretty Good Competition For Q93 Do You Know Clear Channel broadcasting Have All They Radio Stations On Lock Down They DJ's Have To Play Music From They Play List Even They Mix Show's Like Club 93 They Not Allow To Play Anythang Thats Not From They Play Lists Not Just Q93 Power 105.1 In New York Too They Mix Show's Suck's Too Because They Own By Clear Channel Broadcasting As Well.Clear Channel Broadcasting Need To Give Up The Radio Business All Together

It may just have been my car radio, but it sounds like their audio quality is not up to par - could the transmitter still be set for processing that was favorable for Old School?

And if all this is going to be is a syndicated show in the morning and a jukebox the rest of the day, sorry, that's not going to beat Q.

And their voice guy sounds familiar - is he the same one from Max 94.1 out of Baton Rouge?

Because Power have They Computer Playing The Music From !2 Am  Through  5 Am And Back To The Computer Til 2 Pm Than A Live DJ Plays The Music In Til 12 Am Again That Don't Mean  Power 102.9 Gonna Lose The Competition To Sad A** Q93 Ha !!!! I Think Power Is Doing A Damn Wonderful Job  On The Fm Dail Because # 1 Q Is Own By Clear Channel Broadcatasting And Q And FM 98 Plays The Same Songs Every 10 Or 15 Min's And Most Of All The company Clear Channel Communications has been criticized for the multiple commercial breaks Every 5 Min's on its stations And Most Of Q 93 Listener Has Turn Off The Q And Trun On The Power because Q 93 Is Maken Hip Hop Sound Real Bad Sence The Early 80's Give Power 102.9 Some Time It Take Time To Run A Radio Station So Don't Rush It Q93 Has Nothang But Time To Do The Right Thang And They haven't Been Answer They Request Line When People Call,They Mix Show Sound Like Sh*t,Sence Clear Channel Radio Took C.J MORGAN Morning Show Off The Air Hardly No One Feeling The Steve Harvey Morning Show, Now The FM Dail Have A New Big Dog Name Power 102.9 In Town That Playing Hip Hop And R&B The Way It Suppose To Be Played. Now Some People Are Bi*ching Up About Come On Now Yall The Listener Have Try To Tell Q 93 And Clear Channel What We Want Hear But They Won't Listen Thaey Want To Do It They Way So LBJ Heard Our Voice And Now The Hip Hop Listener Have A Choice And Power Is Kicking Q All Up In The  A** Love It Or Leave It Along  Holla Back Player  Grin

Definately not just you or your car radio. The processing definitely needs some adjustments. Faster release time and less gating. Quiet parts of songs barely pass thru! Roll Eyes Man, Citidel loves those high gate adjustments on all their stations. What's the point of extreme gating??

True.

Voice Guy sounds like Rick Party. Eric Edwards or Mitch Craig should have been used.
Voice guy sounds like the same one on Old School now at 106.7.

 SamT.

It's The Same Voice Guy  From Old School 106.7 Sh*t ! It Might Be The Same Voice Guy Back In The Day From Wyld You Know Before Clear Channel Brought Out Wyld That's The Same Voice Guy That Did Q93.3,Wyld FM 98.5, Am 940 Hip Hop Station Back In The Early 80's And AM 1280 All He Did Is Change His Voice And Made It A Lil Deeper By Using One Of Those Voice Thangs That All Radio Stations Have

Sounds like a lot of nonsense for a 2 share radio station.

Now, can we get back to something REALLY important like WGSO or WIST or reliving Bob Walker and the Captain's glory days of 40 years ago???

Happy New Year Everyone!
