In this morning's issue of Taylor on radio-info, there was a story about WYSF, where they were speculating WYSF would be going CHR. They did an online search last night and came up with a logo with "The New 94.5 FM, Birmingham's hit music station" on it. I don't know if that's what they're basing their thinking in regards to a CHR format, but isn't that the current logo WYSF has been using? I haven't been to their website a whole lot in the past, but it looks as though it's the same one. Since we can't post images on here anymore (or at least I think it's still disabled on radio-info), it's the logo that the alabamamediabuzz page has been using with the WYSF story.

This is crap!!! I was hoping it was just a freak accident but it looks like we have yet another country station in Birmingham.  I think the worst part is, I fell in love with the morning show, Kidd Kraddick in the morning.  I hope this does not last much longer because I can't take the country music all day every day and 103.7 just gets old after the 1st hour.  I think I would be okay with the country as long as they brought back my morning show! Undecided

As of this morning they've started relaying WJOX-100.5 (in stereo).  Now the next question to be answered is will Jox move down the dial to 94.5?

Wow Just what we don't need another Country station. Angry

Personally I would love to see them come back as the old I95 and go head to head with the Q.

Correct me if I'm wrong but as long as the Q has been moved to Birmingham  I don't think they have ever had

another CHR go head to head with them.

They need the old WAPI call letters back...you're right. At least they could go for a demo
that brings in income. Maybe they will launch this Plat-numb (sp??) format to go after
the incredible WMJJ. Then they could fight for playing the absolute worst music in B-ham
AND get ratings. I don't know how Magic does it. It's almost Christmas time anyway.

I thought at one time or another that 97.3 was CHR.
