Anyone know who the mystery person is behind the "Knoxville Radio History 101" Website?   Or to put it another way, does anyone have any idea who created the Site in the first place?

Or does anyone care to speculate who it is?   Huh Grin

It's a great site, I'm just curious to know who the person behind the wheel is. The one who came up with the idea for the site, and made it a reality.

Wow!  I'm surprised nobody has replied to this post.

Looks like the mystery person behind "101" is the best kept secret in Knoxville.   Grin

Maybe that person is no longer in Knoxville?

I know who it is not.  It is not me.  And I know it is not WJ.

Beyond that?Huh

Perhaps not, however I am sure it is a former Knoxville radio personality.

I must say that I am amazed at the secrecy of this person's identity, and how well others are keeping their identity a secret for them, unless hardly anyone else knows who it is.

Whoever it is, they must have really good friends, or they have paid some people to keep quiet about their identity.   Grin

I will say that I have done some digging, and I hear their name is "Mike".  Perhaps as in, "Mike Beach?"

Greetings! 101 has unmasked...

I'm "The Greek" and I was a Ktown DJ many moons ago at WIVK and WRJZ. I'm still a big radio fan, but have not been behind a mic for decades.

I have over 27,000 minutes of Ktown airchecks and journals that have recorded Ktown radio history...I'm a kid of the transistor radio generation and still love the airwaves.

Ahoy there!

Can't say that I have ever heard of you, however I have not been in Knoxville all of my life either.

Just curious, (If you don't mind me asking) how come you waited a year to unmask yourself?

Hey 101,

Do you drive a big truck/SUV with a '101' vanity plate?
