had heard that Harry was all done.  he called to give a one-month notice in order to focus attention on his other ventures, and was told thankyouverymuchyou'redone.

and sorry to hear about Uncle Dale, too.

The website shows Harry Nelson's picture as being on the air right now, but this is definitely not him on the air.

Her "MySpace" page says she's on vacation in LA this week... but it's not a good sign that she's taken off the 103.3 website.

I wasn't listening to the morning show all week long but I neglected to mention when I started the thread that, during the times I heard Mauzy doing the news, I did hear her say "I'm Mauzy Stafford in for June Knight" which may (or may not) indicate that June is still with the station.

Did anyone hear Dale during Friday's show?  Any indication whatsoever that he was going or gone or may be going or may be gone?  Anything he might have said?  Any song he might have played.  I remember when JJ was first moved to overnights from afternoons (when Karen Blake came in to take afternoon drive) that the first song JJ played on his final afternoon show was (I'm pretty sure) "Last Dance".  Or it was some song referencing the fact that that was his final afternoon show.

I did just happen to catch his final break yesterday morning, while I was in the car. I can't remember exactly, but he did say something along the lines of "We won't be back on Monday." The song that was played following that was YMCA.

I just noticed something else that is "oldies" (but not Oldies 103) related.

Chris Engel, who does the morning news reports for Worcester's Oldies 98-9, WXLO, and The Pike, is gone from those websites.  Adam Webster, from Oldies 98-9's morning show, has been doing the news reports for the last week or so.  I've noticed Engel has been taking quite a few days off lately.

And The Pike's Bruce Palmer was off for the last two days with Frank Foley filling in for him.  Isn't or wasn't Frank Foley on WCRN or one of the other Worcester AM stations??  Bruce has also been taking several days off recently including the last several Fridays in a row.  I checked cruisinbruce.com but nothing mentioned there as far as a jobchange.  When Palmer was let go from WSRS, he posted that on his website.

Using my best JG impression:  Could Bruce Palmer be heading to Oldies 103.3 to host the new morning show??  He already has an oldies show on Rhode Island's "Tru Oldies".  Might as well make it two.   Grin

Ohhhhhhhhh the changes keep a-coming.

Now, Dale's bio has been removed completely and June Knight's bio has been added back to the weekday crew although with no "show" listed.  Monday morning should be interesting.

By the way, if I recall correctly, after Paul Perry's departure and before Dale started, didn't Mighty Mike hold down the morning show for those weeks??  And that was long before Mike had his Sat night 70s show on WODS.  Maybe we'll hear Mighty Mike all week long.

Also, this thread has been added to the rotating list of headlines at the top of Radio-Info.  Congrats to me for starting the thread.   Tongue   Grin

I had never heard of universalhub.com.  I see their snippet about Dale possibly being gone but I don't see where it links back to Radio-Info.   Huh

This is the end of an era for sure. I have been listening to Dale since his voice-overs on Channel 56, although many of us have been listening for so much longer (going back to WRKO, I am sure).

Right now, WODS.com says Mauzy Stafford is on the air but it's actually Neil White who isn't even listed on the jock page.  Mike Finegan had the afternoon shift and he generally doesn't work the weekend.

I missed his whole comment but Neil just mentioned something about "tune in Monday morning to find out details"...maybe it was regarding the Secret Santa promo, not sure.  But, normally, he probably would have said something like "Tune in Monday morning with Dale Dorman and The Breakfast Club to find out".

You can still see (or save) Dale's page by going in the back door:

http://www.oldies1033.com/pages/22637.php?contentType=4&contentId=123061

Let's see how long it takes the C(BS) suits to 404 it. Roll Eyes

I found the link on Wikipedia's Dale Dorman page, which has not yet
been updated (as of 6:23pm EDT) to reflect yesterday's version of
what C(BS) did to nine-year KOOL-FM Phoenix morning guy Bill Gardner
in February. Angry
