Using my best JG impression:  Could Bruce Palmer be heading to Oldies 103.3 to host the new morning show??  He already has an oldies show on Rhode Island's "Tru Oldies".  Might as well make it two.   Grin

I doubt it. I remember him doing some weekends/fill-ins on 103.3 a few years ago. I'd guess that he's already been in and out of that door. I heard him doing afternoon drive on WPRV (Providence "True Oldies") last week.

Actually, for a little while while he was still at WSRS, Bruce was doing the early Sat morning shift (something like 7am-10am).  I think that was before they started re-running the Thursday night Top 20 Countdown, first with Patrick Callahan and now with JJ.

In my opinion, I don't think moving JJ to mornings would be a good move at all.  I caught him one morning filling in for Dale and there was nothing there at all.  I don't think putting him there is the answer.  It's just more of the same.  Oldies needs to do something in the morning that will get some attention and be fun and compelling. Just my opinion.

Ouch!!!! That hurt Sad

Probably a case of last one in-first one out, then.

And I was listening last Wednesday morning and heard him say he was off on vacation Thursday & Friday.
Considering that the ratings book is about to start..it would make sense to me that he's burning up a few vacation days right now..eh what ?

As far as Uncle Dale..agreed that this is yet another tragedy foist upon listeners by big corporate management..but it has become par for the course in recent years.  Good luck to whomever they put up against L&W next.

JJ would be fine, (as would any of Boston's veterans would be).

Now here is a total shot in the dark, but how about Karen Blake moving to mornings, Moving Paula Street to PM drive, and the have Mighty Mike or JJ Wright do middays instead?

All that's left to do is put Ralphie Marino in a glittery disco suit and flip the handle to Star 103.3.

I can see them putting Karen Blake in mornings...and maybe JJ in middays (although I think he would have to tone down his energy level) but I can not see them putting Paula Street in afternoons.  She has a much more midday sound.  It'll be fun to see this unfold.  Can't wait to hear who is on tomorrow...I hope we're not disappointed.
