And best friends don't get mad at best friends over forgotten birthdays. There must be something deeper, or one of you is a girl or something.

Nope. Don't think so. Well something crawled up his butt and made him pissed off. Rodent works at the supermarket where Paul sometimes shops (which is where Paul and I both used to work) and Rodent asked Paul if he heard from me lately and Paul said to him "Nope. Not even a call on my birthday. Just a stupid card. I'm so pissed off at him I could strangle him when I see him."  Rodent called me later that day and told me. At least that explains why Paul was ignoring my phone calls.

Dang man then I wouldn't buy him no DVD if he ain't gonna man up and answer your phone calls.
I would think up a nickname and use it mockingly next time he calls, and try to get a date with his sister or mom for good measure, just to rub it in real good.

Apparently it's the DVD recorder that's broken. What I did was I put a blank DVD into the machine and it wouldn't even acknowledge that I had a disc in there. It said "Loading" then after a few minutes it switched to "No Disc".
