KCBD 9?  It's a BRANDING issue.  Maybe I am lost, but I've only seen KCBD on channel 9 on the local suddenlink cable system...never OTA transmission, digital or analog.  As the new voice of the news product at KCBD, I can assure you I've seen scripts that make mention of NC11 only.

Of course, they're branding as KCBD 11, and they'll continue to do so.  That's what they've been forever, and they'd be crazy to change.  The reason you haven't seen them at 9 digital is because they're mapping it back to 11 just like we've been talking about.  The typical viewer probably doesn't know it's on digital 9 either; they just punch "11," and they're happy!

Maybe it's just me, but it's confusing to see the digital channel scan load the actual channels and then the available channels are different from the ones scanned in.
