And it looks like they will be voice tracking middays now?
At least temporarily.

Jody has said a couple times this week that there will be nothing but a Ficus sitting at the mic come next week.  Wonder what that means??  Huh

NO!!!!  She is such a nice lady - I've met her a couple of times at remotes.  And her musical taste seemed to be really close to mine.  Hopefully she immediately drove over to Platinum and put in her application.

This just completely SICKENS me.  Yeah, I'm sure she was making too much money (i.e. over $30K) and CBS didn't give a damn about her longtime following, her dedication to the station, and her contributions over the years that played a LARGE part in KLUV's ratings success.  When she started there in 1991, what was KLUV?  A wannabe oldies station with consistently mediocre ratings, still under the misguided Tenaglia ownership, and with Brinkman in the PD chair only 3 years...waiting for his audience to "age" so the station could get some momentum going.  I guess Summers and Cresswell better keep some empty boxes handy...much as I HATE to say that.  What a piss-poor, pathetic, mindless, idiotic, moronic, short-sighted and ill-thought decision to make.  Shame on you, CBS.  I'd rather see you sell the station than to let go of all the folks who built it up for you.   GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I posted the following three Fridays ago on the Coast To Coast Board,
and I'm not sure it got much "face time"--but I thought there wasn't
really one local/regional board to put it on.  After what happened at
KLUV today, and in the past few weeks, maybe DFW is the operative
place for it, although one could make a case for Phoenix or anywhere
else C(BS) has gutted one of their oldies classic hits stations, or really
almost any market/cluster/format these days.

From 11/21/08, but just as relevant, if not more so, now:

This must be a terrible day if you're a DJ.

If you do AM drive, you suffer through the whole show wondering
what's going to happen when you get off the air.

If you're middays, you wonder what could happen while you're on the air.

If you do PM drive, you worry about what might happen when you
get to the station.

If you're evenings, you...oh wait...there are no more evening jocks.
You were "tomkent-sized" already.

And how big is Dan Mason's bonus this year? Angry

So do all CBS on air female jocks have to watch their backs now? Debbi gone, and now word that Carla Marion from KRLD is gone as well.

Like the rest of you, I'm shocked at this. It's very sad.  I knew Debi when I lived in Dallas 12 years ago.  She was a hard person to get to know, but, once you got to know her, she was as good as gold.  I hope she finds something soon.  She's too good to be on the beach for long.
