Ive found so many internet stations that are dedicated to 80s music its not even funny.. Im looking for the POP-ROCK stuff like WOKI and to a Point Power 95.3, and WIMZ played at the time,, not like any of the Cox Point 80s stations, those are a joke... I know its been too long for anyone to remember exactly what WOKI played, or obviously I would know this myself, so I am basically just asking for a suggestion or a few suggestions of the 80s hits that were played around Knoxville_Asheville-Tri Cities, Chatanooga at that time....Thanks guys, im sorry its a little off topic.....  But thanks for your help... You east Tenn guys are the best,, I can recall living there back then and how friendly everyone was,,,Its so grim up north,,,really cold too,, You guys are probably setting in the upper 50s today.  You go North of Lousville and it gets colder, and people get less friendly the farther North you go..Chicago and Detroit are really bad.

hello midwest clubber,
being from the midwest myself, cleveland ohio, and also now that i have the internet and i am not wasting my money listen to local radio, not since woki change format wwzz change format, wtnz changed format, wmyu 93.1 the point went country. i have totally given up on knoxville radio. 95.7 jack fm is a joke, i have went back to cleveland ohio radio where i grew up as middle schooler. please try this station.
WMVX 106.5 FM CLEVELAND OHIO, http://www.wmvx.com, just click on the listen live link , best dang station in ohio. IF CLEAR CHANNEL CHANGES THE FORMAT ON THIS STATION, THEY ARE ASSHOLES IN MY BOOK. WEEKDAYS THEY PLAY 80'S 90'S AND OF THE 2000'S, 2000's NOT THAT MUCH, THANKGOODNESS. ON WEEKENDS THEY PLAY 80'S ONLY. THEIR IS A HAIRBAND SHOW, LOCALLY RUN ON THE STATION, THANK GOODNESS, EITHER ON FIRDAY OR SATURDAY THAT SOUNDS LIKE WIMZ IN THE 80'S. IT IS FROM 7PM TO 12 MIDNIGHT ON FIRDAYS OR SATURDAYS, NOT SURE ABOUT THAT, SORRY!!! HERE IS THE SHOCK!!
REMEMBER BACKTRAX USA SHOW ON WOKI?? WMVX 106.5 PLAYS THE 80'S VERSION ON SUNDAY NIGHT 8PM TO 10PM AND THE 90'S VERSION 10PM TO 12MID RIGHT AFTERWARD. I WOULD RATHER LISTEN TO THIS STATION THEN XR RADIO OR SIRUS!!! THEY SUCK!!! HOPE THIS HELPS OUT. JDC42, A CHILD OF THE 80'S!!

That station isnt too bad, but im looking for more of a Rock leaning one, and one that doesnt play much from today...  CHR-Top 40 radio lost me around 1994 when Urban and Boy Bands got too popular.. Top 40 lost me to Modern AC,, Active Rock,, Dance Music, and Oldies.. It wasnt until about 2003 that I got interested in top 40 radio again... i dont mind todays hip Hop as much as that 90s gangsta rap, and Cheesey Boy-Girl Bands,, AKA Spice girls, Backstreet boys, N Sync, Hanson  etc.

mid west clubber,
if you are looking for a rock leaning style of woki or wtnz, then the station in ohio, of course, where i am from, is what you are looking for. WBRW 105.7 FM. it is called 105.7 the brew. it is a rock based 70's, 80's and 90's mix. it is from columbus, ohio. hope this helps out!! hope i did not miss understand or last commemt!! jdc42

Actually I think Z Rock 107.5 in Pikeville-Virgie-Prestonsbourg KY is about what WOKi would sound like if it where around today.. Mix of hard rock and POP-CHR....  Think this is how JP would have WOKi sound if WOKI and Clay where there today....  Given that Star, Hot and X did not yet exist....
