I was driving through East Texas a few days ago and noticed the new signal in Lufkin.  It is jockless and runs the same 3 or 4 IDs over and over - format is hip hop "Z93.9."

When did this happen, and who owns it?

KBOG has been on for a few months. They are owned by E-String Wireless out of San Antonio. (Brett Huggins/John Barger) I have heard they are leasing it to the Hip Hop progammer.

No, only listened while driving from Houston to Shreveport.

KBOG is now KAGZ. There are no DJ's and no studio. Sales are finally started but the rates are too high for the market.

Rates are not too high if they have spots on the air.
