Per reports coming out of the current big CC managers meeting in Texas, extensive programming standardization will soon be very much the rule.  While I hate to see this for other markets, and don't like to see it for NCI, COL and TVN, it provides a glimmer of hope that something worthwhile will finally make it to the smaller local CC stations, and ESPECIALLY to 93.3 (fingers crossed bigtime on that one).

SCRATCH THOSE COMMENTS.

I was jumping to some incorrect conclusions.  I now see that the new plan pretty much boils down to more syndication.  Not good, so I regret my uninformed endorsement of CC's plan as it might relate to Columbus (although any dig at 93.3's choice of format is always thoroughly-deserved).

P.S.  I actually like a lot of the CC air talent (even at 93.3), and don't like the possibility of folks losing their jobs, especially in this awful economy.

Oh my gosh!  Nu Roo.  Did you just make an "I hate 93.3" comment?  So unlike you!   Tongue

Might be more Columbus talent being regionally syndicated. Though it didn't seem to work the best with the Buckeye Country network, where the idea was to voicetrack all of the stations from WCOL.

Not all of the Buckeye Country themed stations where voicetracked from WCOL.   I know WMRN-FM in Marion at the time had a WCOL jock or two and at the time had Danny Wright from WGAR in Cleveland.

The whole Buckeye Country thing was more of a Jacor thing than Clear Channel, WCOL was the first to 'drop' the slogan.

Looks like WMRN-FM and WCHO-FM are the only two left using the slogan...  102 in NW Ohio went back to 'T-102"  WCKY dropped the slogan so did WGAR.

If they want to have all Premier Radio talkers on their stations then will Randi Rhodes make an appearance? Since she joined Premier Radio lineup of loudmouth braggers?

What about on 1230 AM? I doubt she will make it on WTVN.
