Magic is kinda just there getting it handed to them by WDVD and WNIC, The beat isnt a bad gimmick but that station I think is going to have a short shelf life.

Might 105.1fm go Talk radio by years end or might 106.7 Become ESPN radio?

Both of these possibilities make me sad.  As much I have felt that Detroit has too many AC stations (96.3, 100.3, and 105.1), I would much rather see 105.1 continue to be an AC station than it switch to something like talk or sports.  I don't like FM stations that are completely devoted to sports.  That happened to a couple stations here in Grand Rapids, and I hate it.

As far as 106.7 is concerned, I really like it and hope it sticks around.  I just started a new topic about how it seems like that station is moving away from a dance format and moving toward a Top 40 station.   Cry

I don't know about Magic 105.1, but unfortunatly I would think 106.7 The Beat would be leaving in a year or so, ratings seem even worse compared to when they were 106.7 The Fox. I would say they might flip to rock or hot AC, they already have WDFN so they can't be sports.

I don't know about you guys, but I have some problem's with WDTW's signal. I live in Royal Oak, Ferndale and it's very weak compared to ther channels like 955 987 or 963 for example. Maybe that's the reason it's not doing well
