Well Rush is getting irreverent over the years. If he can't get McCain/Caribou Barbie elected and he is on over 600 stations then his time is over. Then I don't listen to someone who had an Oxycontin addiction and got a slap on the wrist for doctor shopping.

I heard a media pundit describe him as a "big, fat wrecking ball" this morning.  I agree.

Orson Welles without the humor.

Yes, yes, Rush sucks. Rush is irrelevant. So irrelevant that the media hyperventilates over everything he says and there are people posting threads like this with the headline "Pretenders to pull Limbaugh theme song?" when no one is saying that is in the works.

For an irrelevant drugged up idiot he sure has you paying attention.

Actually....not.  I happened to catch the CPAC news clip on HLN this morning.  Since I don't watch/listen to El Rushbo I had seen only older pictures of him....apparently before he became Pizza the Hutt.  To say I was astonished watching his six chins flapping away would be an understatement.

If this is the best the Republicans can do for a spokesman they are in more trouble than they can possibly imagine.  Even the RNC chairman is on his case now.

BTW, the original subject WAS a question and, as such, is always relevant.

Sorry for the hijack.  Now back to your regularily schedule argu.....er, discussion.   Grin

Rush has been using "My City Was Gone" since his days as a local host in Sacramento, circa 1986 or so.  Same riff, same part of the song you hear now.  I get the idea that it wasn't a conscious choice, but just music they found in a production room or something.

Yes, I'm pretty sure that PETA story is true...I remember it from when it was in the news originally.  As far as I have heard, there's still an agreement.

...somewhat like Jerrt Bott at WISN Milwaukee using a sloppily-edited version of Tom Robinson's "2-4-6-8- Motorway" for the years he was (is he still?) on. Never mind the fact that a well-established LGBT activist would ever want his music applied to homophobic radio shows...
