Hot 102.7 is finally turning things around. I sometimes tune in to Hot 102.7 to see how they are doing and boy dont there music sound good. Hot 102.7 also stopped playing slow jamz at night and started playing the regularly played hip-hop and r&b all the time.

Hot 102.7 - WHTD FM went up from 1.8 in January to 2.1 in Feburary, and is a tie with WGPR FM at 107.5.

WHTD FM - HOT 102.7 ratings have fell back down again now to 1.9 in March of 2009. Will Radio One ever make it with the hip-hop/rap and r&b at 102.7 MHz weak signal in the city of Detroit and suburbs? They cant win for losing.

flip it to fm gospel

Radio One already have gospel on AM 1200.

WCHB AM 1200 has better coverage than WHTD FM 102.7, a clearer signal and AM 1200 has no interference from a frequency adjacent to 1200 KHz like 102.7 FM WHTD and 102.9 FM WWWW are adjacent to each other and not spaced properely and interfere with each other.

DAYTIME COVERAGE FOR AM 1200 WCHB

NIGHTTIME COVERAGE FOR AM 1200 WCHB

WHTD FM 102.7 COVERAGE

Radio One will probably leave 102.7 hip hop even though the ratings are low because Radio One prefer Urban/African American radio formats, just like Crawford Broadcasting refuse to change 103.5 FM WMUZ even though they have low ratings, cause Crawford just prefer Christian radio formats like WMUZ FM formnat.

Why did Radio One fire the Detroit operating manager Bo Money?

Was it because of the low ratings of both 102.7 and 105.9?

No idea but I wouldnt be surprised to see the rap format return to 105.9fm. As for 102.7, who knows.
