No this is thee worst one right here. 97-5 WABB out of Mobile, AL. Musically it's not but as a whole it is because they not only lied to me, they ripped me off my money and t-shirt:

Your point being?

This has nothing to do with Wisconsin radio at all. You really think anyone is going to take a lawsuit about a $7 t-shirt seriously? There are more important things to get wound up about in the world than whining about a distant station losing your mail.

They also require you to go to the studio to pick up your prize, like every other radio station. Listen or read any prize disclaimer for any station you can find. A vast majority of them, except for the clear channel blowtorches, require you to pick up prizes at the studio. If they mail the prize, it's usually in a trackable form where they can know when the prize has been recieved, or instead the prize giver deals with the prize distribution directly.

You're in Wisconsin. They're in Alabama. They have no requirement to serve you with prizes, and if they know what they're doing, they usually insert a clause that 'prizes are only available to listeners within WABB's terrestrial listening area.' Thus they have no need to give you a prize.

I will not say anything else beyond the radio station knows what they're doing. They serve their area, not Wisconsin.

Icycool, you seriously need to get a life. Stop talking trash about stations b/c they dont send you free stuff, and stop whining afterwards about how everyone on these boards is rude to you.
103.7 Kiss FM is one of the best sounding CHRs in the country, imo, and their ratings are also very very impressive. Maybe it's in part b/c they dont have a Rhythmic CHR competitor, or maybe it's b/c its such a well executed CHR. Regardless, your bashing of the station wont hurt their reputation...but it has hurt yours  Grin

Most stations don't send prizes through the mail because A) money is tight, and B) there is no way to be 100% sure it arrives.  Besides, you are in WISCONSIN, thus not a listener (WABB is in ALABAMA).  Radio stations give away prizes to people who can listen to them to help ratings, and they aren't free (they're either bought or traded with clients).

With the economy right now as it is, and BMI/SESAC/ASCAP wanting a lot of money, a lot of stations don't stream.

And WXSS is one of my favorite top 40 stations to stream (has a great balance though slightly rhythmic, great imaging and presentation).  My bad for rehashing, but he posted this in two threads! Grin

I have a few station t-shirts that aren't WABB, drop me a PM if you're interested.

Ok I understand. I may not like it but I understand. And if I'm ever in that Mobile, AL area I'll go right to the studios and pick one up (along w/ telling them the no contact back method stinks). I don't consider this a prize though as this isn't anything won in any contest.

Everyone should know that what that poster offered was either a complete lie or something else. Did not even hear back from him. Don't lead people on and make empty promises! Why are there station t-shirts if you can't get them easily? Makes no sense.
