I'm currently thinking about applying for jobs in the Lufkin area... But before I do something drastic, I need any information about the broadcasting stations. I'de really like to just work with the local stations because I've heard a few not-so-wonderful things about GAP. Anyone have any background information about the other stations in Lufkin? Managment? Some things to watch out for? ANYTHING would help at this point...don't care if its good or bad..I just need to know before I start applying for jobs....Thanks!

what postion are you looking for?  Sales/programming??  And what kind of background do you have-seems you might need to do some homework.  GAP pretty much owns and runs the market-they seem to be doing something successfully.  Yates stations are all off the bird (except KJCS)-so take your pick.

KJCS has not been run very well in the past.  I'm not sure about what they are doing now.  The Gap stations are good.  They are run very well and have people there that really care about what goes on the air.
