Yeah, but AM 1700? Maybe that's ten bucks they will pay you for listening...

I wonder if he's buying the time? If not, and he's doing it for free in hopes of getting listener donations, then I'd say don't quit your daytime job, and if that is your daytime job, then a night job would be advised.

I think some folks fail to realize that for a $30 monthly cell phone data charge you can listen to what must be thousands of alternatives to your local radio stations via internet radio or if you're really a masochist you can pay a little more than half that and listen to dozens of alternatives on XM or Sirius. But $10 a month for one show on one AM station with a bad signal?

1700 comes in very well in San Carlos, Sonora and at the bottom of the Grand Canyon - they've got something going for them.
