Logic dictates a couple of things:
1. Saga would not have changed the COL without having plans to make a move closer in.
2. The fact that they did make the change indicates they have had engineering studies done that showed some sort of move is possible. It undoubtedly will not be as good as they would like, but it must be enough of an improvement for them to pursue.

Or...... it my open up a way to move 104.3 to Delaware if the move to west jefferson falls through

They need to get 104.3 inside Franklin Co. in order to be competitive. Moving it to Delaware from Richwood would be a lateral move at best that would still leave them with a marginal signal in a large part of the metro.

The COL change makes since for Saga. Remember, they are moving WVMX to Westerville and yes there has been an engineering study completed. The main option is to put them on the WOSU tower and another option puts them on a tower off of 315 near 270.
As for Delaware, this is part of a much larger move to allow for two things to happen. 104.3 moves its COL to Delaware with the new tower on US 33.
Remember Saga has to spin off WQEL Bucyrus and its moving 92.7 to Marion County with a "Richwood COL". The station is being donated to Bible Radio Networks.
Then Saga can move forward eventually with the consumption of CC Mansfield/Ashland

I knew the ODB move to West Jeff was in trouble...something to do with the inability of WCVO to move? But is Delaware the best they could do? By US 33, do you mean perhaps the site at 33 and 42 where 105.7 started out (as a Marysville station)?

Not happening without a waiver of distance separation rules. Can't go any closer to 107.5.

Yes, that's another 2nd adjacent spacing situation. Same rules apply, 31km/19.22 miles between the two towers. Somehow I doubt that those other owners are going to give Saga interference waivers.

104.3 is on the original 105.7 tower, along Rt. 4 NE of Marysville. The tower at US 33 & 42 was the second tower used by 105.7 and went into service in 1994. It was removed in 2004.
