No more gargage like Soulja Boy,Boon-Keyshia Cole,The Dream and Jerimiah. This type of trash shouldn't get radio play anyway.

Funny....... i used to react heavy to messages like this. But today it serves no purpose.

Dont like the format? dont listen.  simple.  Plenty like it.  Thanx~

It is very sad to see WAMO go and leave no hip hop format in Pittsburg, but someone will quickly jump on this format quick.  What major market does not have a hip hop station?

Hip Hop has plummeted over the course of this decade from the third to the sixth most purchased genre of music, so it's entirely plausible that the format could start disappearing permamently from the airwaves of medium sized markets like Pittsburgh.

A little digging on my part, maily because I was bored and it seems that Saint Joseph Missions is a relatively new non profit, having just received non profit status in Feb of this year (http://www.taxexemptworld.com/organizations/latrobe-pa-pennsylvania.asp).  I tried Googling the c/o name and what I came up with for Matthew J Gorsich is that someone by that name used to work for Allegheny Energy and Sesco.  Mind you, I admit they could be different people, but that was all I could find on a quick googling.  Others can pick up the ball and run with it if they wish.

St. Joseph Missions has been around awhile.  They do a great deal of work in the most poverty stricken places on earth (literally), if it's the same organization.  They do an awful lot with very little.

Well, I hate to throw a monkey wrench into all of this, but here's somthing to ponder...

It seems St. Joseph's wasn't Sheridan's 1st choice.

It's interesting to get the reaction to this story from non-radio people.
