I love Annalisa and the KFOG DJ's ( whoever is still there) but Dave Morey is the only guy who can pull off 10 @ 10. He should start his own website like 10at10.com and play it 24/7 on line

Dave is actually running a "pirate" station out of his new home studio in Michigan, using the calls WTF (har har) and playing music in the evenings but not talking. I too wish he'd get that up on the 'net at some point. It would take a LOT of work for Dave to produce enough 10@10s to run them 24 hours a day!

Dave Morey IS the 10@10.

I was very disappointed to tune in today for the Saturday morning replay.  Arriving mid-set, I immediately knew something was wrong when I heard some computerized voice in between songs.  I looked more closely at the website and saw the "new host Anna Lisa" announcement.

At the end, AnnaLisa talked over some kind of techno music bed.  Yuck.

No offense to AnnaLisa, who is a competent jock, but Morey's spirit and love was what made the show.

I thought Dave was going to keep doing the show from Michigan.  What happened?  Guess it's cheaper just to have somebody already on the payroll do the show.  Sad.

If anyone finds a link to his pirate station, please post it.

For those who are just joining us...  Wink

Dave was supposed to continue doing new 10@10s from Michigan; Cumulus decided they didn't want to pay him. And they can't just play old "classics" forever, so they tapped Annalisa to helm "10@10: the Next Generation". And in fairness she's been doing a fine job -- obviously a new opening, announcer, etc were required, so some changes were necessary. My music-geek friends and I, who keep track of such things at out own 10@10 message board ( http://10at10club.com/forum/index.php ) have noted that in the past 2 weeks Annalisa has been averaging 2 or 3 new-to-10@10 tracks per set (i.e., songs Dave never played). That's pretty amazing and not what we were expecting.

BTW that "techno music bed" is just the instrumental version of the "Time Warp" song from Rocky Horror that Dave used for 27 years.

Feel compelled to note that Annalisa did a terrific 10@10 today from 1975 that included the 10cc deep track "Life is a Minestrone", in its first-ever appearance on KFOG -- I begged Dave Morey to play it for years, but to no avail.  So Annalisa has my wholehearted support now.

Question for anyone who has HD radio: Is KFOG still running "all-10@10s-all-the-time" on their HD2? And if so, have they eliminated Dave Morey's voice yet (apparently they're supposed to at some point)? Just curious (but not curious enuf to buy an AD radio). Annalisa's only been hosting for a month, they don't have enuf shows of hers to program 24/7.

So is there any way listeners out here in San Francisco can receive Dave Morey's WTF Pirate Station?  Any information is appreciated.

My understanding is that it is a very low-power operation -- for his immediate area in Michigan (where he now lives).  Last I heard, he had no plans to webcast.
