1480 is directing listeners to oldies1480.net and has been for the past several weeks.
They have the rights to oldies1160.com and until those rights run out it should not be a problem. Still a lot of internet listeners just learning of their changes and are making the switch to oldies1480.net.

Many times website owners will use multiple domains. In this case they can not get oldiesd1480.com so they looked for and got an alternate domain as dot net. I've seen some AM stations get dot am. Usually the cost of maintaining two or more is not that much as it can be redirected from one to the other and you only have one actual website. In fact if you can afford it it is best to purchase or register as many as you can think of to avoid someone else camping on your name and creating confusion.

For a while someone with an x-rated site had the domain name whitehouse.com. Of course the real site for the institution at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is whitehouse.gov but a lot of people think that all websites end in dot com so they went there and got a big surprise. Now it is a different user on the name, some kind of broadcast yourself service.

I meant nothing. It was a joke from the whole "Q" thing.
They aren't on 1160 anymore but are still using it online.

Ok jry, that's cool , I was not sure where you were taking that. It only makes sence for them to keep that internet address for those people like me who have it programmed and just have not got around to changing the short cut to oldies1480.net on my computer.
