I have to ask it here first.
How much time is left on the meter for JACK?
Does Midwest intend to stick by the format in the face of low ratings for sake of costs?
Or might they be ready to throw in the towel soon? If so? What do you supposed would replace it?

I thought it might be interesting to discuss before I call KFM B FM...

based on what you hear on the street about the April PPM numbers, I'd worry about one (or both) of the country stations...or one of the sports stations...or the alternative stations...or CHR stations...or

KFMB would seem to have a big advantage in that their stations are not saddled with acquisition debt as are so many others. As Jack becomes more and more automated, I'd think it'd be very cheap to operate: they presumably  have to pay some sort of the franchise fee for the JACK name, but it's been so long since Midwest has created a winning format that it's hard to imagine they'd dump JACK for something else. I'll bet they're kicking themselves though for not getting in on the action when San Diego FM's could sell for $40 million.

That speaks volumes Bob. With Clear Fuzzy Channel listing on the side of heavy debt load; Roger, John and Ken, and others pushing GOLD; and Lush Rimbaugh, while enjoying a big bank holiday last year, causing a big hole in the financials of many CFC stations ... There there's that HDRadio thang. How's that workin' out as previously discussed in this area.

Yep, Midwest TV may be pinching pennies in all their day parts on AM and FM, but it's an easy sale; and it is one of the few stations in San Diego that the cash register is tied to the broadcast antennas.

We'll put Chris and Bob down for "KFMB keeps it JACK"

Anybody think Midwest might pull a surprise move?
How about FM Talk?

How about FM Talk?

Yeah, why don't they start simulcasting 760 KFMB; it would give them an edge over KOGO.

Roger is no longer on the CC payroll.  Hasn't been since he went syndicated.

Nope you don't write for me; I have a hard enough time doing that for myself. That's not a poke, just a point.

I don't own the station; and Midwest TV can program a 1,000 hertz tone 24/7 if they want.
Still hoping for punk country, or zydeco.

Then you didn't read my orignal question:
Will Midwest stick with Jack or go to something else.
