According to a source on another message board:

"Spoke to someone at WSAH (203-881-1153). they said switch will occur at 6PM tonight, but they will only be broadcasting retro TV 6PM- Midnight daily, rest of time will continue to be paid programming."

Looks like WSAH is not going to follow VeteranPD's master plan for success...

Today's July 1st, right?  I checked at midnight, nothing.  I checked today after work, nothing.  I'll keep checking every now and then.  But unfortunately I don't know when the switch to RTN will occur.  I figured it would have already happened.  But, can you tell I'm excited?  lol   Grin

Well Ron, it's better than nothing...now I would usually say something about Billy Mays, but given the recent events, it's good judgment not to say anything.  I can say this, expect a letter from me soon.

Very disappointing that only 6 hours per day will be devoted to RTN.  Was that the original plan when RTV was announced last month?  Seems kind of misleading to me.  Was it an RTV decision or WSAH decision?  Isn't Multicultural's RTN affiliate in Boston full time?  I was really looking forward to catching some episodes of 'Emergency' but I guess that won't be happening.

I agree. Very disappointing. As stated earlier, I understand that informercials make money and WSAH is probably going to take a hit on the bottom line to give up 6 hours of priime programming time. I wonder if they have to pay for these shows or if there is a barter arrangement.
I never said I had "a master plan for success" as someone claimed in an earlier post. I'm simply stating my personal viewing preference. IMHO, informercial should be limited to midnight to 7 a.m.
I had a feeling, from "square-one" that Arthur Liu would never be willing to build the bulk of the broadcast day around this.
I'd like to be wrong.

True, but it's not like RTN is running commercial free.  There is still plenty of money to be made through advertising during the RTN shows.  Depending on the show's popularity WSAH could potentially be making more money than they would by airing a paid program during the same time slot.

As I said... if you have problems with the lineup, hit the contact links at Retro's website or contact them on Facebook.  If you have trouble with the amount of time, get your feelings to me in some form of printed word (internet forum's do not count).  I will gather them up and forward them on to my upper management.  USPS mail is preferred, but email works too.

We are not seeing the return on investment in Boston that was promised.  Some within the MTBL hierarchy wanted to kill the whole deal, but Sean managed to swing 6p to 12a.   Some things need time, and we are hoping that Boston will pick up in the coming months.  It's only been about a month and these things take time.

Has there been any advertising for RTN so that people know to tune in to WSAH?  If I didn't read these message boards daily I never in a million years would have tuned to WSAH or known RTN was there.
