Not sure if it's a Cablevision or a WASH problem, but the picture quality look terrible both at my home (Northern Westchester system)and office (Harrison/Port Chester).  The analog signal is sort of passable, but the digital channel (14) is flat. It's looks almost black and white.

Well the source material is none too good, bad prints all around.  But tell me what it looks like during the daytime infomercials vs RTV and what the RTV ads look like to you.  Additionally what do my local insertion spots look like (it always starts with a RTV promo and you'll see an 11 frame flash of their ad at the beginning).  Also the I-spy prints are pretty good vs Knight Rider, Magnum, Quincy.  Rockford has that Kodachrome look to it, but they arent bad either.

Based on that I will contact the Westchester Director of Engineering or I will pump up the chroma on the RTV receiver.

I'm at work now looking at Harrison/Port Chester head-end.  Infomercial is running now.  The analog picture appears to be pretty decent, as far as color is concerned...it is much better than the digital.  The digital QAM picture seems very flat.  It almost seems as if there is something going on to "soften" the picture to the point where it washes out much of the color.

I'll take a look tonight when the RTV shows are running and post what I see.

WSAH has been airing RTV for 2 months now.  How is it doing?  Or is it too early to tell?  Any plans to expand programming?

Well it looks like RTV is gone.  I turned on WSAH at 11pm tonight and saw in infomercial instead of Mangnum PI.  Did they give up on the network already?

No. They were either having problems or cutback on the hours they show the network. My mom said she was watching RTV around 8:30PM last night.

I certainly hope they didn't cut back on the hours.  They only show 6 hours of programming as it is.

My channel guide now shows infomercials starting at 11:00 PM now.

It's a shame.  But I certainly understand the economics of the situation.

Yeah they cut out the 11pm hour (Magnum PI) two weeks ago.  Ironically this was the only hour of programming I liked.
I also understand the economics of the situation, but I don't really know what they were expecting considering there was no promoting of RTV.  And other RTV affiliates nationwide seem to be doing well as the network keeps expanding on the number of affiliates.  I just think WSAH botched this one up.

Well...let's see...

Promotion budget..$0
Local sales...$0

I guess they were hoping for some word of mouth?  I agree...it's a shame.

Have they moved their transmitter to Manhattan?
