word is, the bank is not happy with GAP, and if the bank isn't happy, nobody will be happy, and nobody will be left.

I don't know if this information is entirely accurate.  Gap is actually expanding.  I read the other day they just created "Gap East".

That would be interesting if they were expanding. Simply becuz they have had the axe swinging for such a long time within that company.... then all the sudden they supposedly pick up some more stations. However, if you are correct.... the swinging axe would have freed up some cash for the company. However, I just can't see how they could be expanding even if they did have some freed up cash. It goes against everything the GAP CORP. has been doing since taking over.

What sucks... is that there are some really talented people who work for GAP and little by little they are being driven away, reduced to nothing or simply let go.

Just read the article....

HOLY HELL!

I truly cannot believe that. I love the line in the press release "In each market that it serves the company strives to become the preeminent provider of local content through its over-the-air and online offerings."

Ha, Ha, Ha! Oh Really? When does that begin? Ha, Ha, Ha!

It does absolutely amaze me that they are expanding the company while killing the stations they already have. Holy Hell. Unbelievable.

Another school of thought.....GAP is expanding b/c their belief in radio is real because they are proven radio people.  That's a signal of confidence the entire industry should be cheering about!!  Interesting when a sub par employee is released because of weak performance then fingers are pointed in the wrong direction.  In most cases, those yelling the loudest should take a look in the mirror.     IMHO.
