Can someone tell me what's up with the KC101 audio chain?  It sounds like absolute garbage!  There's no dynamic to it!  It's a shame... musically they're not bad.

Anyone know what the story is?

Someone needs to stick a fork in that turkey because it's done. Beyond done. That place may or may not be for sale. One buyer who was looking at it doesn't want to pay what they're asking. And another Spanish Christian Group that was looking at LMAing it hasn't been heard from in more than 2 months. And Joe while we're on the subject of that station did you see in my FACEBOOK album the pic of me (taken by Rodent) of me posing by their main tower?

And will someone with the town of Southington please make DMG get rid of the discarded sofa that's been sitting behind the dumpster for the past few years? It's the same one that at one time was in the lobby of the station only now it's been completely destroyed by wild animals.

Is the dumpster right out in front of the building, with the sofa in full view of pedestrian and street traffic? If not, why should the town care what's behind it -- the only people who ever see it are station employees and radio enthusiasts from Wal-Mart poking around back.

I always noticed KC101's audio sounded different from other stations.

The sofa can't be seen from the street. You have to pull into the driveway and get out of your car and walk over towards TOWER 1 to see the sofa. I rarely pull into the driveway, but I do drive by it once or twice a week when I bring my friend to Brunswick Bowling Alley on nearby South Main Street.

When I had the station in last week it sounds very flat. Almost as bad as DRC-FM's audio used to sound. Maybe the average Joe Q. Public that listens to that station and only that station can't tell the difference, but I can. Some of the songs they play on KC 101.3 are also played on HOT 93.7 the station I listen to most often and I can surely tell the difference between when the song is played on KC vs HOT.  And I'm not talking about speeding up the music either.
