This is kinda sad, kids of today have NO IDEA what "good" sound is.......

Giving up my iPod for a Walkman

When the Sony Walkman was launched, 30 years ago this week, it started a revolution in portable music. But how does it compare with its digital successors? The Magazine invited 13-year-old Scott Campbell to swap his iPod for a Walkman for a week.

Quote
When I wore it walking down the street or going into shops, I got strange looks, a mixture of surprise and curiosity, that made me a little embarrassed.

Im sorry but i wouldnt give a rats ass who thought what of what i had!!

I prefer QUALITY and Walkmans (ANALOG) produce much better quality than these digital pieces of crap!!

I honestly don't know because I don't own an iPod, but I do own a JVC Stereo with USB audio port, so any music from my PC can be heard in FULL stereo sound. That does sound amazing to me!

I NEVER download music for keeps though because I'm still buying CDs in an effort to try and help keep the music store in business!  Cool

Oh Dude, didn't you know?  That's because today's ipods are filled with today's versions of yesterday's M&M's which you consider crap.  And they are made with rejected ideas of today's television shows which you also consider crap.  And they are stuffed with the first 1,239 "Ah man!" 's of yours.

It's all your fault, Dude, it's all your fault.  Congratulations.

Funny you mention that. Easy bake ovens also make a great fire, so the best of both worlds was always there!  Wink

True dat.
It was only the uncertainty and discovery of scientific experimentation that would pull us away from the flaming army men long enough to warm up the Easy Bake oven and see what's cookin' todayCool

I cooked an entire Tender Heart "Care Bear" in a real oven once.

It melted just like a box of chocolates.

I tried same in a microwave oven and it didn't do crap.

The "Care Bear" lived to see another day, while its brother, well, became a pile of poo.

Ya gotta love old tech. Still.
