Judge at sentencing upped the sentence to 20 years because of brutality of crime. Prosecutors had made a plea deal, and were seeking 12 year prison term because of that deal.
Guess there is at least one competent judge in Seattle.....but it's STILL too short a sentence for a crime so horrific....Life in prison with no hope of parole is the only thing Scott White should get.
It's still an improvement. Too small.....but better than what the prosecutors were asking for.....

I saw footage of Scott White literally STRUTTING his skanky ass up to the stand in the courtroom on the 5:00 KOMO 4 News (you can catch it again on Comcast On Demand, it's in the first five minutes.) I wanted to puke.
White's "apology" finally sent me to racing to the bathroom. No show of emotion, just a blank expression as he blabbered his worthless statement.
Poor Wayne Webb (Mike's brother) was doing everything he could to stay in control. But he said the family was satisfied with the sentence of 23 years - STILL too short. But I guess we'll leave it at that. They've been through enough hell.
I guess the only satisfaction there is in all this is knowing when Scott White gets to prison, his butt has probably already been sold to some gang and he'll have many unpleasant experiences in the prison showers for years to come. Fine by me......
