I guess the I may mean Indy or Indianapolis...I can't believe that actually slipped my mind.

Well if they had named it "P 94" you would have automatically thought "Hey they named it after Pendleton," when in reality they named it "P 94" because of Plainfield. :-)

Mike, do you think this station really fits "CHR"? Is is a try at a more MainstreamCHR approach rather than a RhythmicCHR that Now has evolved into?

This is more of a Adult CHR like ZPL Is than Even a Mainstream CHR would even be. im waiting to see if they play a song that has any rap verse in it to see if they pull a ZPL on it

Heck they are even playing it safer than ZPL does on Katy Perry's Hot n Cold in the line where she says in the Album Version which ZPL Plays where she says you PMS like a B***h i would know. I94 plays You PMS like a Girl i Would know. watch them counterdict themselves when they play Theory of a Deadman Bad girlfriend and not Censor @$$ in the song like ZPL does and radio Now doesnt

Your upper demo w 25-34 love Rob Thomas! CHR targets 18-34.There's no rule in CHR radio that everything they play has to appeal to teens and has to have a "rap" in it. A lot of CHR stations forget about the upper demo women, therefore they turn off the CHR station and flip on the HOT AC. Smart CHR stations keep their adult females happy by playing some of the top HOT AC hits. Otherwise, they lose the upper demo. In order for a station to make $$, those upper demo numbers are important. There's nothing wrong with a CHR station playing Lady Gaga, T.I. and Rob Thomas on the same station. Call it what you want, it's still a CHR.

What's sad is that they let go of one of the most gifted CHR minds in the market when they cut Fritz Moser loose. I'm tired of being "nice". Cumulus could f*** up a wet dream and a one car parade....on the same day!
