My assumption for i94 is the "i" will mean they will be very interactive?
Maybe? I thought "I" stood for "Indianapolis" Maybe it stands for "I can't believe its not butter, er better!"

This is what Cumulus does. Extremely watered-down, coporate playlists from Jan-70-year-old-I-worked-at-WLS-so-I-MUST-be-right-Jeffries. And there is nothing wrong with Rob Thomas, when the song is actually strong and becomes a hit. Jan plays any and all Mbox20/Rob that lands on his desk. Major hard-on for that artist.
RadioNOW has nothing to worry about. To be honest, I don't think it'll crack a 2.5. If it does, it will fall below that threshold again. Q100/Atlanta does well because of The Bert Show. KRBE/Houston does well because of their heritage. But lately they are losing 18-34 to CBS' HOT 957. In markets where Cumulus owns a CHR, and it has an on format competitor, those are the only 2 cases that I can think of where Cumulus wins. RadioNOW has always been aggressive and I don't think Cumulus stands a chance.

Sounds like ZPL without all the talk
When does YES.com pick up a new station
Slightly off subject but I'm noticing that the stream is EXCELLENT quality - Clear Channel has some great quality listening online on IHeartRadio. Why are all the CBS stations have such poor quality on line streams?

This will be on in every store in the mall (that isn't paying for another music feed) by the end of the weekend

Castleton Mall maybe. Not enough signal for the other malls however

Well, I had a feeling Cumulus might go CHR as I'd posted on this board yesterday. The imaging is great, but as you've all pointed out the music mix leaves a lot to be desired. Whether a CHR leans Rhythmic, pure Pop, Rock, or Adult, it should not be so Recurrent-intensive. Nor should its playlist be dictated from Atlanta - the fact that it's hard to distinguish most of the Cumulus-owned CHRs is a crying shame. Indianapolis is NOT Atlanta, not Houston, and definitely not Rockford. The sad thing is that I'm looking at old issues of Radio & Records from the 80s, at old CHR playlists. Jan Jaffries did a decent job when he was at B-104 Baltimore, he was also in Chicago for awhile (which was pointed out in this thread), as well as 94 Q Atlanta, and very early in the decade I believe he was at K-92 Roanoke. There were some CHRs back in the 80s that were pretty conservative, like 94 KTI Milwaukee, and Jan seems to be stuck on that mentality. Either than one, or the mentality seen by many medium-sized CHRs in the mid 90s. What a shame. Anyways, like several of you have pointed out, it looks like Z-99.5 might have more to worry about than Radio Now 100.9...

The station does sound good technically. Their engineer (Jake) has a great set of ears.
