.

After listening to Live 105 pretty much nonstop in the past week, the only band I'd expect them to re-add that I haven't heard yet is New Order.

They did play New Order-Bizarre Love Triangle.

the  whole  vintage vinyl thing  is  great   but other than that, its  still mostly chili peppers, beasties  and rage.    playing  all that  cool  hip indie  stuff will just  kill the station  .  even tho,  those  with taste  will like it an awful  lot, the masses  wont.  and  in  the end, thats what matters.

I don't know that even "the masses" are any happier with the RHCP/Linkin Park every hour format either. They need to space the tracks out more though. I heard "Two Hearts Beat as One" by U2 both last night and this afternoon which is pretty close for a track of its popularity.

Yes and yes.  On Yelp Live 105 has MANY reviews and an average of two stars -- I realize yelp isn't always 100% accurate, but keep in mind most yelpers aren't necessarily music fans.  There is a lot of overlap between Live's target demo and yelp users, especially males.

I also agree they need to lay off the U2 a bit.  They went from playing zero U2 to every hour and every single U2 song I've heard, most multiple times, was from the pre-Zooropa era (except for Vertigo, once.)  I'm aware that they are giving away U2 tickets but still -- though for once, it's nice to hear them actually play songs by acts as established (meaning non-Paramore, Bravery, etc).  They didn't do that with Depeche Mode.
