I have recently head Dawn Spicer on WCTW. I cannot recall what shift... Christa Jones is also on WCTW... again shift escapes me...

You probably heard Cindy Spicer on WCTW, not Dawn. Krista Jones is there, though. She holds down the 10a-3p shift, mon-fri.

Clear Channel had eliminated business positions too because they are funneling all of their office procedures out from their corporate office. It started in the winter, they have been consolidating all of their AP/AR & monthly billing to have them generated from corporate....the offices have less people doing multiple tasks, its all to cut corners and save money---they cant afford having water coolers or coffee machines in the offices, thats just crazy.

According To Scott Fybush's NorthEast Radio Watch "DC" is out as afternoon jock/music director at Clear Channel's WPKF (96.1 Kiss FM) in Poughkeepsie."

One of the benefits of having no business is you don't need office support staff.
You don't need to bill clients you don't have.  You don't need to pay staff you don't have.
If there is no staff, who would drink the water?

Dawn was a cool cucumber in the WBNR/WSPK days.  Haven't spoken to her in a long time, but I am sure she is still cool and I wish her well.

I found this article from the New York Post about CC is in danger right now in the HV market. This is second only to Cumulus after the departure of Chuck Benfer. Here it is.

NYPOST: The third time is no charm for Clear Channel Communications. After failing twice to restructure the company's debt, the private-equity firms that own the radio and billboard giant are asking some big banks to help them keep the company from defaulting on its loans. But after a bruising fight two years ago to force the banks to live up to their commitment to fund the ill-fated buyout, those same banks now are telling the PE firms to take a hike, two sources close to the situation said. That means Clear Channel may now default by year-end or early next year, one of the sources said.
The Mays and their managers have spread so much ill will over the years that everyone they’ve crossed is waiting for the ultimate payback.  Their model has destroyed Radio and more than a few lives and now it’s time to pay the piper.  Unfortunately for the staff still in the trenches there aren’t too many burger joints looking for over priced talent. It's tough to be cocky when you can't pay the light bill.

It is replaced by music director Chris Marino from WSPK's "K-104" and also replacing "CJ's Playhouse" show with a nationally syndicated morning show with Elvis Duran from "Z-100" which is also being heard up in Albany on WKKF's "Kiss-FM" at 102.3 and then Ryan Seacrest from "American Idol" has moved its syndicated show from "Star 93.3" to "Kiss-FM" at 96.1 in middays. That leaves CJ out of his morning show last week from "Kiss" and moved to WRWD with Annie where he did his own morning show. CJ is a great morning show host, I remember him when he was doing afternoons back in the "B-94" days when it was originally WBPM at the time as well as the host of "Rhythm 94.3's Morning Rhythm Show". I missed him so much, but I'm glad to hear to hear CJ on WRWD once again, but I'm a huge country music fan, and I will listen to it, but I don't listen to "The Wolf" in mornings so I prefer CJ as well. After CJ, I will listen to "The Wolf".

I had heard that Ryan Seacrest  was doing a rhythmic CHR  ‘kiss’ type show some time ago but that was certainly not what he was doing on star 93.3 . Obviously it would never fit the format , and conversely the show he did on WBWZ won’t fit kiss 96.1 .  I have wondered for some time does he do more than one show ?
