I'm surprised there aren't any WDFN threads on here since they killed the station with all the firings in January.

A friend told me there may be more cuts on the way . . . though there isn't really much left to cut.

well if there are more CC cuts coming in Detroit, the rest of the cluster will have to take the hit this time since there is like 3 people at WDFN Left

I read a rumor on a nother site that now they are putting together a new local lineup for WDFN, but leaving it on that crappy 1130 signal.

Why on earth would they do that?  You get rid of everything local for 8 months and give the competition the chance to steal all your listeners, THEN you come back on the same crappy signal that no one is listening to anymore?  I read they got a 0.4 in the last 12+ -- less than 90,000 listeners.  Why would any advertiser pay for that?  And I'm also willing to bet that they will have no marketing budget, so they won't even be able to tell all those listeners they lost that some of their guys are back.

Clear Channel has no idea what they're doing.  This thing has been poorly run since the beginning.

If CC was smart they would put 106.7 FM to good use and become Sportsradio 106.7 The Fan.

And do you think CC is smart?

Which is why they won't do it.
