Inside info from Clear Channel says Carrie Moten has been fired from 104.7 Kiss FM.

Unprofessionalism and inexperience finally caught up with the morning show sidekick and her time has run out.

Re-runs have been on air all week.

You're crazy. Carrie is a much of the reason why listeners get sucked into that show every morning. Compare Carrie to any female on air talent for Phoenix young adult stations (KZZP/KZON/KKFR/KMVA etc), and there is no comparsion. Very sad to see her go if this is true.

Hate to see people lose gigs. This is ironic though. She was actually spotted in the KKFR building this afternoon. Could she end up taking out Lady La? Doubt it but it makes you wonder.

Oh MWIAW, I agree, from a listener point of view, she's entertaining but inexperienced in the BUSINESS of Radio and Advertising. And radio is a business, not just entertaining chatter.

Carrie was not fired. She was not given the option to continue with the morning show after July 31st.  Both Johnjay and Rich shared the exact same PR statement on their Twitter and Facebook today after 5:00 PM.  Carrie deleted both Johnjay and Rich from her Facebook.

Johnjay: Congrats to Carrie. She is off to chase her tv and radio dreams outside of our show. Good luck.
Rich: Congrats to our sis, Carrie. She is off to chase her tv and radio dreams outside of our show. Good luck.
Clear Channel:  Carrie Moten is no longer an employee of Clear Channel. (normally would say that someone has resigned their position)
Carrie Moten: Got Some Time To Kill?Huh I got a brand new blogging home AND I'm in good company!!! www.944.com/carriemoten

I think her blog says it all.  Johnjay and Rich are searching for the perfect match to compliment their morning show and achieve a much higher level of success.

The TV station Carrie has talked to has no intention of producing any kind of TV program featuring Ms. Moten.

...you may want to specify which station you're talking about. Last I checked, she was still hosting Classic Star Trek and The Very Bad Movie on KTTU/18 Tucson on Saturday nights...

That's a distinction without a difference.  If you're not given the opportunity to continue in a job, that's getting fired.

What is your point?

Carrie didnt get fired or asked to resign and her contract didnt end.  She quit on her own terms, i heard it from her own mouth, we have been friends for years.  So please do not believe all of the things other than that that you hear.  They had to make up stories for the audience because it looks bad if its told that she walked out because of issues with them.

Haven't there been problems with Carrie and management for awhile? I seem to remember discussions on their show over and over again on this topic.
