It has taken six months but after 4 1/2 years and one server crash two years ago, Radio Bop has moved to Station Playlist from DRS2006.  We reviewed every one of the 2,753 songs in the playlist and replaced every noted resing with the original version to the extent we could.  We now have a separate audio processing server using Stereo Tool plus have have full live origination capabilities...a JK Audio Innkeeper telephone hybrid is on order so we can put Skype calls on the air and we are testing the commercial options with our first advertiser.

With Station Playlist, we have shifted from a 1-hour format clock to 3-hours allowing us to program deeper blocks of earlier decade songs and schedule features every 2-3 hours more easily...plus now we have commercial scheduling, trafficing and billing capability.

And as we discussed previously, weekend "Action Central News" at :55 is coming soon...

StationPlaylist is great software.  I use it at "America's First 80s Station" - STAR1079.com

Very good value for the money and reliable as well.  Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.  Smiley

Already agreed, our other two stations, Radio Bop 60s and ROOTSofROCK.US have been on Station Playlist for almost a year...SPL is by far the best value in automation plus the support is top-notch!

DRS 2006-What a nightmare! Space doesn't allow for full disclosure. HOWEVER, I wanted to find the software to load into my laptop for mobile DJ purposes. Alas, couldn't find it.

IF DRS 2006 HAD worked as advertised, we would never have switched from a Windows app to a BEOS/ZETA (similar to LINUX?) system called TUNETRACKER. However, once we made the switch, we've never looked back!
