1. I notice the CBJ games are all only airing on 1460. Did CD101 decide to keep The Jackets on FM? I figured since 97.1's signal is much better, they'd pick up the games.
2. Due to an interview about 3 weeks back, The Fan and the Indians are uh, shal we say, not getting along? I noticed the Indians are only on 1460, and this isn't just day games either. I realize their season is esentially over, but I have a hard time believing they'd make more revenue airing ESPN Radio's Football Tonight twice and the Brian Kenny show. Thoughts?

Every station I love eventually changes formats.

I could be wrong, but...

1.  I think CD101 had a pre-existing contract with CBJ to be their exclusive FM broadcaster in central Ohio.

2.  From what you say, it seems that the Indians are not a fan, of "The Fan".  Seems to be growing number of those "not a fan" types, but then again, it could be the crowd I hang out with that gives me that idea.

Unless CBJ decides to go in another direction currently CD101 is the FM home of the CBJ games and WBNS-A can't air them on FM and in place will run ESPN from my understanding.

The Fan's contract for Indians games may be only for AM coverage?  They would likely have to work out a deal with Cleveland Indians if they want to air the games on FM (who is to say they really want to do that).

I rarely listen to the Fan in the evenings, but having them air the Jackets and Tribe only on AM is fine for me; I can still listen to something on the Fan when the hockey and baseball are on.

Thing is, they've aired Tribe games on FM up to this week. I mean if they are going to just air them on 1460, you'd might as well just listen to WTAM.

I don't understand why they would want to air the Tribe games on FM in the first place when they can air them exclusively on AM. Maybe they saw a drop
in the ratings during the time period the Tribe aired on FM.

Hey, I've got no problem with it. As far as I'm personally concerned, baseball goes from June 16th until Aug. 8th. IE, when the NBA playoffs end and the NFL Preseason begins. Haha.

I perferred Cleveland Indians games on the FM. Most young people doesn't  known what AM is or they think AM is for old people. Plus The Fan FM have better coverage area than the Fan AM. I hardly ever go to the AM band these days since The Fan is on the FM. Plus WLZT HD2 FM broadcast WTVN. I only go to the AM for WOSU and WAIS.

It'll be interesting to see what happens in the Fall Trends once the Buckeyes season kicks into full gear.  If the Bucks can't carry The Fan higher than a 2.9, then nothing will.
