The reason most of us believe that is because of the rage Savage has expressed during his time at CC/SF because savage accused Rush, Beck, Hannity, and Palin for being puppets of Murdoch.

Most of who?

And you are missing one key point of information:  Any evidence that Rush, Beck, Hannity, Gov. Palin, or any other conservative media figure actually cares about Savage's rants, on-air or off-air.

Because as we all know, conservatism is a giant monolithic conspiracy.  They all get together for meetings, only Savage is jealous because they don't invite him.

Seriously - Rush and Pallin don't work for Murdoch so it's ridiculous for Savage to call them Murdoch's puppets.  If Murdoch has directly given instructions to Beck and Hannity (who do work for him), I'm sure it's "Get big ratings and make me money."

That's Murdoch's agenda.  If Glenn Beck got higher ratings for spewing pea soup while his head spun around in a circle, Murdoch would want him to do that.  Come to think of it, stay tuned - you may see that next week on the Glenn Beck Show.

Soooo...some you seem to be saying there's a right-wing conspiracy against Michael Savage.

Funny.

ya' never know because savage is a registered independent; rush/hannity love president bush while savage attacked him considerably

maybe bob brinker will disappear next LOL

Who would be a candidate to pick up Savage Nation in SF?  Any FMs you think might be looking to go all talk?

None...

He's too extreme for the Bay Area if he isn't even considered strong enough for a third tier talk AM like KNEW.   An FM station doing talk against KGO and KSFO would have to hire some of their talent away to be successful.

Get a good radio and listen to him on KSTE out of Sacramento while he's still on the air up there.  IMO, it's only a matter of time before he'll say something worse and get himself kicked off of that station as well.

KTRB/860 would have been an automatic landing place until it went all-sports.  Now, that's not even an option.

Nice  post  Kramer. I  listen  to Savage,  hes  quite  entertaining,, since  1994,  he  was  the  Talk  of  the  town  around  here,  he  may  have  not  made  alot  of  freinds,  but  one  thing  for  sure  he  trompled   Bernie  wards  ratings  in  a  short  time,  and  is  heard  in  more  than  300  markets. Bernie  is  done.  Im  sure  Mike  will  be  on  for  a  long  time  to  come,  how  many  more  years  till  the  overweight  liberal  gets  out  of  the  pen?HuhHuhHuh   Savage  always  refered  to  Bernie  as  'Mr  Softee'  If  im  sitting  in  traffic,  and  your  not  moving, on  these  antiquated  freeways,  and  you  tune  into  Savage,  it  makes  my  drive  quite  stimulating,  the  guy  speaks  the  truth,,He  was  the  best  thing  to  happen  to  KSFO,,  besides  Melanie  Morgan.  Kenny  in  Concord,, and  savages  TOH  intro  is  out  of  this  world,  the  guy  is  great

Apples and oranges.  Savage was on during afternoon drive; Bernie Ward during late night.  You can't compare them.  Savage was the more entertaining of the two, as far as I'm concerned, but in talkradio I go for entertainment value, not politics.

What's unfortunate is that Michael Savage is now so full of himself that he's ceased being funny.  That'll be the death knell to his program.

What really hurt the show on KNEW was it has only been live 3-5p for the last 2 years. The third hour is filled with fake interviews his producer records. The listeners can tell, and went away. His 3pm hour was still the #1 hour on the station not that long ago.

Certainly not all of Savage's listeners are right wing nut-jobs...But people I meet who tell me ( I don't ask )  they're Savage fans seem to believe every word the man has ever uttered.

While Savage certainly is in no danger of disappearing, the KNEW rejection shows exactly what happens to those who are unpleasant to work with when they are no longer bringing in the cash.  I can't think of anyone more universally despised by those he works with and for...Very high-maintenance, disparaging, and downright insane.  So, I don't think it was that tough of a call for CC/SF to cut him loose.

He went from being their flagship program to their boat anchor...

when did they go to all-sports, and why ?

860 could become a new home for all the recent Bay Area and Controversial California casualties, left and right: Savage, Collins, Karel, Michael Jackson (the talk host from Saul Levine's KGIL AM 1260), and what happened to Christine Craft and Enid Goldstein ?
