Hey everyone
You might remember me as the guy who wanted to launch a Top 40 internet radio station, well I'm finally launching my new Alternative Rock radio station in December. Why December? I'm still building my new in-home radio studio and I'm striking a few deals with some advertisers. But I already have a website up at http://iroqkr.tk/ to generate some interest.
BTW, what website offers the best royalty streaming rates and bandwidth rates. I was going to go with Wavestreaming and Loudcity but I need a second opinion.
Thanks!

Do you have 25,000 dollars for the music royalty fee?

Loud city will be your best bet for royaly rates and they are excellent to work with.

if you need to look into stream hosting you can find a list of hosts here

http://www.broadcastingworld.net/reviews/hosts/ or www.radiotoolbox.com/host

i hope this helps.

Live365 is great if you just wanna do it standard and have gaps between songs.  For gapless pro sound L365 charges an arm and a leg for their packages.  Best bet is LoudCity, invest in StationPlaylist, and save hundreds.  Also depends how many listener slots you order.  I recommend to start low then once your station gets volume, to increase listener slots.  It all depends how far you want to take this station.

I concur and agree that Loudcity is a great way to go. Many of us are ex-Live 365. That should speak for itself........ Smiley

In addition to paying the royalty rates for non-interactive streaming, you need to obtain licenses for copies of the songs you want to host on your server unless that is included in your stream package.

I just launched my new Internet Alternative Rock Station
The name is iRoqkr (pronounced i-rocker) and you can listen to the station online at http://www.iroqkr.tk
We've been having a few connection problems in our first few days, but we're pretty much on 24/7
