While driving back from a computer show and nearly an entire afternoon spent at the Holyoke Mall, I noticed a mono signal playing reggae on 101.5. I was almost in Hartford when I started getting it, and then eventually lost it going west on New Britain Ave. They gave out a "656" exchange phone number and they run commercials. Also found a website http://www.energyradio1015.com/ which doesn't really give a clue as to where they are from, but seeing as I found the website after finding the Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Energy-Radio-1015FM/87519268117 via google and the facebook page shows lots of posters on it referring to the West Indian Social Club, I'm pretty sure it's them. BTW; they stream.

Haven't heard it but will look for it next week when I go through that neck of the woods. I remember when the holyoke mall first opened by the way.... I like off the beat programming; interested in who the sponsors are. Our office has been hooked on a Midday Madness show, featuring funny talk, interviews and album cuts from the 80's-now... Radio has a lot of competition now. FM programming has too many commercials; to little content.

Is this the one that used to be on 103.3? No sign of it here in Bristol. I get Bleed-Over from WKCI. The only pirate I get in Bristol is a Spanish one on 90.9 FM. I think that one on 90.9 is originating somewhere in downtown Bristol as that's where there signal is the strongest. (I also live in downtown Bristol). I also emailed CT Public radio telling them said pirate is interfering with my reception of WPKT 90.5 hoping that CT Public Radio will get on the FCC's back about getting said pirate shut down.

101.5 and 103.3 are both on. I believe Adam Rivers mentioned it was being a simulcast.

103.3 is a monster signal. It will be easy enough to find.

MarcB: I don't know if the 90.9 Spanish pirate you're talking about is from Bristol (I guess there could be ANOTHER one). There is definitely a Spanish Religious pirate on 90.9 in New Britain going by the name "Restoration Radio" (except they say it in spanish) and is in the area of Smalley School in New Britain. It's actually run by a church with a similar name and they also have a web site even mentioning it's location.

Both MarcB & Necrat, the two stations have the same format, but unless 103.3 is similcasting 101.5, then no, they aren't the same as they very clearly call themselves "Energy Radio 101.5" and the facebook & webpages all reflect only that slogan.

Yeah, 103.3 is a BIG signal, I went up into the hills behind Middlesex Community College today and tried to do some DXing and I caught 103.3 fairly well.

I haven't heard the 90.1 signal in New Britain for a while, almost seems like it's somewhere near Berlin or maybe Southington?

Kraze that's what I'm hearing "Restoration Radio" and I heard them give out a web address but since I don't understand much Spanish I can't spell the web address. They're based in New Britain? Really? They're crystal clear in down-town Bristol even when other FM stations are staticy on my walkman. It's weak to non-existant at The Queen Street Walmart in Southington on my car radio. It's very weak at my parents house in Southington on my car radio. I haven't been to New Britain in a few months so I haven't check the signal strength there. I may be paying a visit to my old high school on Slater Road in New Britain in 3 or 4 weeks so I'll check out reception when I go.
