Haven't noticed this before, seems to be the same feed as HD-2, but a little ahead of it. Is this used for games or something?

I'm thinking I did something wrong to my antenna as I don't see as much DX as I have before and I'm also noting the following:
WWYZ HD-2 gone?
No HD on WMRQ?
No HD on WCCC-FM
However, I am getting WFCR HD 1 & 2, which I did before, but have had trouble for a while, and WHYN HD-1 (not seeing anything -2 or above)

WCCC dumped their HD over the summer due to budget cuts.

Actually, Jamie....105.5 is apparently an HD signal...one of the few signals Cumulus upgraded a few years back....Just HD-1...no extra channels...Should be clear as a bell at WCSU.

That's too bad. Hartford loses its only full-time classical signal.

WWYZ's HD-2 has been MIA for a while now -- again, country oldies are not available anywhere else in the market -- but the HD-2s on 95.7 (gay-oriented music) and 101.3 (dance) seem to be working fine. Might be a technical issue rather than recession-related.

It's really not that bad, when you consider hardly anybody has an "HD radio".

True, but for those who do have one and enjoy those niche formats, it now means either satellite radio, Internet radio (goodbye, listening in the car) or no radio at all.

I have three HD radios. I know about a dozen people who are non broadcast people who have them too.
Especially people who are more well off would have several to listen to classical music via the HD2.

I hope the Danbury market STAYS HD-Free. Currently Cumulus' WRKI and its sister stations WDBY(Patterson, NY) and WINE, Berkshire's WDAQ, WLAD and WREF remain HD-Free and to tell you the truth it's a joy. Saves me the trouble of locking out the HD switching on my HD radios every time I tune to a station running that iBiquity farce.
