From the www.radio-info.com news page:

The Orange County Register says Doug is flying “to New York immediately, where he will do the 5am hour on WABC, leading into the Don Imus program.” Succeeding McIntyre on Citadel talker KABC, Los Angeles (790) will be Peter Tilden, who'll anchor 5-10am all by himself. Tilden was once teamed with Ken Minyard on KABC in mornings, and later hosted overnights by himself. He begins shouldering the morning show tomorrow (9/25). As for McIntyre, the newspaper’s Gary Lycan speculates that he may “eventually do that one hour for WABC from the KABC studios in Los Angeles.” There’s also speculation in the wind that Citadel might look to syndicate that hour in some fashion.

From the L.A. Times:

McIntyre show to exit KABC-AM

Longtime KABC-AM (790) talk-show host Doug McIntyre will bid farewell to listeners during his 5-10 a.m. weekday show today. He'll be replaced Friday by Peter Tilden, who has worked at a variety of L.A. radio stations since 1990.

David G. Hall, director of operations at the Citadel-owned station, told staffers in a memo that McIntyre would be "doing some work for WABC in New York in the short term, and working on a very exciting future project on KABC."

Tilden spent most of the 1990s at KABC, then for several years was morning host at KZLA-FM (93.9) until it ended its country music format.

Obviously, WABC is getting more than a little nervous about Imus.
