Is it just me? or did KRON went dark?

Now I am still old fashioned since I am still one of those people who (still) doesn't have cable tv at my house. So I rely 100% on antenna.

I have tried rescanning channels several times ever since I got my LCD TV. I've noticed that my TV set hasn't been able to pick up KRON's signal for quite sometime now. (Even before we switched to all-digital) I checked on KRON's website and it appears that the station is still on the air?

Another question is this... I recently discovered there are several sub channels on Channels 1.XX showing Vietnamese, Hindi, Infommercials, Spanish Religious, old rerun tv shows + cartoons, radio programmings from I am not sure what stations. What station is that and who owns that station?

It is just you.  Or at least, some of you getting digital signals over the air. KRON did not go dark.

A number of stations (CBS5 and KQED, for two) are running announcements that you may not get their digital OTA given the upgrades that are in progress on their Sutro Tower transmitters...until the upgrades are completed and they are at full power on "X" date in the future...usually a couple of months away.  Since I rarely watch KRON, I can't tell you if this applies to them or not.

Can't answer the other questions

Does anybody know if the upgrades going to be ready by September 30th?  I notice that they finished replacing Kgo-TV antenna and currently replacing the second antenna.  I haven't see that they replace the third and the final antenna yet. Do you know if they are going to be finished by 9/30/2009?
