Went to the NAB radio show and a side forum in Phila. yesterday, and one thing became crystal clear, it's all over for this industry.  Sure, there are some independent operators figuring out a way to make a living, but the industry has ZERO CLUE how to get it done in the digital age.  Here's a quote from once big station executive: “We must embrace the digital world, because that’s where the young people are.”  That quote might have been relevant in 2003, but this is almost 4Q 2009.  That about sums it up why it's all over for terrestrial radio, the industry DOES NOT KNOW how to embrace the digital world.

The radio industry is incapable of embracing anything more substantial than their own egos.
