The Cockroach's Digital Conversion - June 12, 2010

« on: October 01, 2009, 05:49:28 AM »

For awhile, there has been a field on each profile to enter your Myspace page information. These days, both Facebook and Twitter have left Myspace in the dust in terms of popularity.

Is it possible that users' profiles can be modified to add fields for Facebook and/or Twitter page URL's?

And while I'm at it, I guess I'd do away with ICQ. Who uses that anymore these days?

The short answer is there will be no new social networking additions to this particular SMF release.  However, we are evaluating newer software that allows us to plug in more social networking programs.  That will all be done when we've migrated the site's databases to new servers.  We'll be doing the migration in the very few future.  I don't have an exact date for installing different board software as the testing phase to import all data from the old SMF software is a considerable task.
