What's with everyone in the back all of a sudden flipping stations to Top 40/CHR?  First, KLSX to Amp, K-Rock to NOW in NYC, G-Rock to Hit in the Jersey Shore, and now this?!?

Mainstream is a safe bet is why...The #1 billing station in the country is Kiis FM in Los Angeles..Karel was awful and The Energy Format was a poor attempt at dance...Plus the morning show Creeps..Good Riddance

So what would you consider a good attempt at dance then? Do you program a dance station, Diggidy?

Energy was a good station.  Dance is a niche format, and nice formats haven't done well under PPM.  Plus it was recently sold to a new owner.

It's 39th with a 0.6 12+ for a loooong time. Billings are around $3 million a year, and they paid $30 million for the station.

12+ is not Energy's target demo. And, 12+ ratings are not used by advertisers or program directors to make business decisions. And, the thread is about Karel's show on energy, or lack thereof.
