I noticed WLVT and all their HD's are carried on Comcast Center City/South, they also carry WFMZ but do not carry their HD's.  If they carry one station they should carry the other HD's.....they are obligated to carry the Lehigh Valley frequencies...WLVT, WFMZ and WBPH which they do, but they do not carry the Nostalgia HD on WFMZ.....

Technically, WLVT, WFMZ and their multicast subchannels are not necessarily in HD.  They are broadcast in digital, yes, but not in HD...except for their main feed AFAIK.

There is a similar situation where the NJN digital subchannel (NJN 2) is carried on Comcast in Chester County on the digital tier, but not their main feed.

Yeah I think he means the digital subchannels. And no cable systems are not required to carry the subs at all just main channels.

I've thought that this is bizarre.  I live in this headend just moving across the river where I had Comcast/Garden State Cable.  This seems like the only headend around here that doesn't have WNJS-DT but WNJS-DT2 appeared when PBS made the deal with Comcast to carry all the PBS sub-channel if they only had to carry on PBS station on analog.

WHYY-DT is the only PBS station on analog cable now.  Channels 23, 35, and 39 were all taken off analog and all their sub-channels were added on digital.

The day that happened, we never got WNJS.  We had 39 on analog and channel 10 is 11.  It's about time Comcast moves WCAU to 10, even though I watch on 232, and 39 to 11 and WNJS on 261.
