My buddy has been driving his mom's Jeep Liberty for the past 4 days while he's getting the engine repaired/replaced in his Pontiac Grand Am. He was showing me the radio and his mom's got strange pre-sets.

FM.

1. WIHS 104.9
2. WWYZ 92.5
3. WZMX 93.7
4. WKSS 95.7
5. WTIC 96.5
6. WKCI 101.3

As for the AM she only has one preset set. Button #1 is WXCT 990. You see my buddy and his family are Sicilian and WXCT has the best Italian Show in Central Connecticut on Sundays from 830AM-1:00PM.

You are more obsessed with WXCT than I am with WNYZ.
Now I feel like making a post about how all my car radio presets are 87.7 when I had to jump start my car a few days ago.

As for myself I have all 12 FM and 6 AM programmmed, but I only usually listen to 4 of the FM and 2 of the AM.

FM-1

Button #1 WZMX 93.7
Button #2 WDRC 102.9

I listen to these 2 the most.

Button # 6 WZBG 97.3

I only listen to WZBG for the Sunday Morning Jazz Show.

FM-2

Button # 6 WPKT 90.5

For Car Talk and occasionally Food Schmooze and Prairie Home Companion

AM

Button # 1 WTIC 1080

For The Local News and Weather

Button # 2 WCBS 880

For The Yankees and if I want to know what's going on in NYC. (Note: For NYC News I prefer 1010 WINS, but because of that stupid 990 station 1010's reception is horrible).

2 990 references in as many posts and in the same thread? Couple that to the banality of this whole subject. Well done, we've sunk to a new low here.

Is this REALLY all that's going on in CT radio?
Come on.

How can you call 990 stupid when you know for a fact that it takes up presets 3 through 6 on your car's AM radio? (I'm willing to bet dollars over donuts that this is true.)

You lose that bet and I'll take a dozen Boston Cream Donuts Please. :-)

So Marc claims 990 is not currently on his AM presets, even though he admits to tuning them in regularly for their Italian music show on Sundays.

I'm doubling down.

Wow, who really cares?  I mean, really???  But I suppose lists can be comforting to some types.

If anyone asked what my presets were, I'd say "quite well thought out, thank you".
