I don't really listened to pirate stations at all. I've heard that they used to have a pirate station in Brooklyn playing oldies with Hank Hayes and Jim Nazium back in the WHOT days at 91.5 when it was covered by WNYE after sign-off. WNYE was an NPR station at the time when WHOT finally nailed it to play oldies late at night.

Actually , for every one they remove, there is 2 more ready to fire up the old clandestine transmitter..
C'mon, you guys really expect it to stop ?   As long as Big Business owns radio..the pirates have a better show ...
Thinking about starting my own pirate network....  Hats off to WBCQ 7.415 & 5.110 and Radio New York International for being our role model.
