Right people sample... I'm not denying that, but wouldn't the point be to try and snag some of those who may sample pulse a little longer now onto one of the other stations for longer periods (love those quarter hours) without really disrupting the audience they currently have... of the stations... which could throw on more current dance without really changing anything?  My thought is KTU...  especially at night... most general audience folks think of ktu as a dance station anyway, they're heritage, people wouldn't think twice of hearing that sort of song on there now either...  especially considering all the pop remixes and crossovers they play.

Gain for CC but its something about Lite-FM and Z that they want always at the top.

It was my impression that both WAXQ and WKTU now beat Z100 in 25-54.

Alex Shvarts just made the announcement and it scares me to hear "At 5PM, Pulse will be off the air"

I'm stealing a quote from candykidjade,

When Pulse does play its last track, then WE, the coalition, will be back to do what we have to do.  At least we are organized and on the "ready"....which is certainly an advantage over the oldies fans when 'CBS went to "Jack" as well as country fans (who did try a valiant effort after 'YNY flipped to 'KTU, but haven't heard from since Y-107)...

I don't need to remind folks that "CBS-FM" returned two years ago, by popular demand - certainly more demand than a dance station in these parts...

Okay...let's go with this and I will stake my reputation on it.  It took oldies fans 2 years before they got CBS back.  I bet we will get a new dance station SOONER when Pulse does go off the air in all aspects.

DToTheJ!

WHERE ARE YOU!!!!!

I want to publicly say it on this board RIGHT NOW!

WAS I RIGHT!!!!!  WAS I RIGHT!!!!!

The station may sound a little more urban, but I fully trust in Vic Latino and that if he has to tweak the station a bit to dance to keep the Pulse 87 crowd tuned in without totally losing off some elements of the Party 105 crowd, he would do so.!

WAS I RIGHT!!!!!  I want you to say it right here!!!!!!

(UPDATE: Party 105 will be coming to 87.7 on Monday, November 2nd....3 DAYS after the last song on Pulse 87)

This should be interesting since Vic always seems to balance dance and rhythmic music well...

You just answered your own question. Party and Pulse is like apples and oranges. And besides, you probably got advanced word from Vic Latino about the new 87.7 format but kept it a secret, so you were probably on the take. Sorry, I won't bite... But I will admit that Pulse did (and still does) have arguably an outspoken following, there is no denying that...

So will Vic and the gang be at Club Exit to "raise the spirit" of Pulse on this Halloween night?
